Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Signal not Noise mobile application (the "App") and any related services provided by Life is a Game Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App. You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Licence to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on Apple iOS devices that you own or control.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App;
• Attempt to extract the source code of the App;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App;
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App;
• Remove any proprietary notices or labels from the App.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at ryan@lifeisagame.ai of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscription Terms: AI Assistant

The App offers a free core experience. Optional AI features are unlocked via an auto-renewable subscription called "AI Assistant".

Subscription Details

• Product: "AI Assistant" unlocks the AI features (natural-language prompt bar and AI recommendations).
• Price: £1.99 per month. Prices may vary by region and are shown in-app at the time of purchase.
• Free trial: 30 days. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple Account.
• Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Managing or cancelling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time after purchase via your device Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
• No refunds: No refunds will be provided for any partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including to-dos, goals, notes, and any files, photos, or PDFs you upload as "context" (collectively, "User Content").

By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your User Content solely to provide, operate, and improve the App and its services, including sending relevant content to third-party AI providers to generate suggestions and edits.

6. AI Disclaimer

The App uses third-party artificial intelligence providers to generate suggestions, edits, and recommendations. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific situation.

AI output is provided as assistance only and does not constitute professional advice. You are solely responsible for evaluating and deciding whether to act on any AI-generated content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or appropriateness of AI-generated output.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable;
• Impersonate any person or entity;
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App;
• Use the App for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your access to or use of the App.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Life is a Game Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you via an in-app notice or email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
